Why do I train? I was hooked since day 1… I love the fact that this is one of the only clubs I know where there are no ego trips, no one is trying to prove a point, everyone are there for the love of the sport, so there is great atmosphere. I love the variety, taking different bits from all kinds of martial arts. I love the improvements I saw within myself after starting training, better shape, and better reflexes. I love the thrill of sparring, the speed of it, the potential grace.

Why do I train? Well apart from the obvious of getting really sweaty and rolling around on the ground with men (I mean do I need to type any more I know your sold there!) training is just awesome. A mixture of hard work and energy burning it really allows you to rinse yourself of a Friday evening before the weekend. For sure i'm gonna feel sore on Saturday and Sunday but it is that kind of nice muscle pain that comes from a good training session.

Why do I train? Daniel joined OMA many years ago in a bid to out-smart his arch nemesis, his evil twin brother.   Unfortunately, being twins, they both had the same idea, and unfortunately attended the same club too. Daniel has enjoyed the many past-times that OMA affords him including a reason to shower once a week.   Some, all or none of the above may be true, if you’d like to know which, then please come along and speak to him after one of the sessions.

Why do I train? I joined OMA after James helped me train for a charity walk, and I saw the benefits of it when I found that not only was I fitter than I’d ever been in my life, but I was more fearless and flexible, and therefore able to clamber lithely over rocks without breaking a nail! I love most things about training, but most of all, I love the community. I’ve been to other clubs before, and none have such a great atmosphere as OMA. I feel totally comfortable training with a bunch of blokes now (and the occasional other token woman :o), and there’s a genuine feeling of everyone wanting to help each other learn and develop. You can’t bottle that stuff man!

Why do I train? I joined training because i wanted to use my body to its full potential and also i just wanted to be able to kick really high.   As well as what you would assume, It has also helped my sleep pattern, which i really didn't expect and made me more popular with the ladies, well maybe not.

I love the people at training perhaps more than the training itself, its a very funny and relax atmosphere there. After training I can't wait for the next session to improve on techniques i learned that session, its like a drug (..actually that water our instructor gave us did taste funny!)

Why do I train? I joined Omni martial arts because I couldn’t face the idea of my brother getting the better of me (we started at the same time), that and it reminds me of why I stopped smoking and helps me not smoke again. If I did get into a fight I would probably get my head kicked in, but training gives me confidence anyway and after each session I feel relaxed and hungry for the next session.

Why do I train? My brother Joe said that there would be a new type of martial arts, which would be created by his friend and our Sensei Mr Miyagi.. I mean James Fleming :D. I decided to join as it would be a good way for me to learn self defence and to get fit (even though i think pie eating is not helping this cause :). My opinion on OMA: The class is really cool, a great bunch of guys..and girls, Sarit :D It is a good skill to learn and I think the way it combines striking alongside with grappling and floor work is really innovative. Overall a great class to learn in with a sociable attitude outside of the lesson.

Why do I train? I had been looking for a long time for the right sort of martial arts club, not being able to decide which exact discipline I wanted to go for as there is such a range available all offering a very different kind of training.

I found very quickly OMA was the sort of training I had been looking for, straight down to business.   A good strong workout at the start (not the most enjoyable) but is very important to get your body going.   Then variations of pad work, technical based manoeuvres which can be instantly incorporated into fights and then various levels of sparing towards the end of a session.   Of course there is more to it but these are the areas I enjoy.   I also like the way James teaches where he is very open to suggestions about things we would like to learn and also incorporating different fight styles into training.   We have people who do have different backgrounds and James is always happy to let them take the floor and teach things he is not familiar with. Everyone is very chilled out and friendly, but do take things seriously when required.
